At the end of the day…
So another day ends and with it comes another blog post.
It’s been a tough day – constant work, which has resulted in constant stress and yet another late night. I feel out of shape too, despite having only exercised the other night. Surprisingly enough, I do exercise frequently! My housemate Chris and I are planning on taking up swimming again sometime next week. I haven’t done any since about February and it’d really be good to lose some Christmas pounds…
It sounds funny writing such a thing, seeing as about two and half years, I only weighed around 70kg and was desperate to put on weight! Now I’m pushing on 85 thanks to 2 years of weight training and perhaps eating a little too much here and there (sure the six pack isn’t exactly visible but the abs are still strong!). The pictures below really do show how different I am now compared to then. Sure, I’m no super strong body-builder but I have no intention of being, and I reckon I look (and feel for that matter) much healthier now than I used to. Judge for yourselves! The one in the bar is perhaps the oldest and I truly do look horrid – I swear my face is almost yellow! The other is whilst running the Bath Half Marathon back in 2006, I did fine in it, if anything being stick thin helped but I just look like I haven’t eaten. Ever. The other pictures are from the other week, I just wanted to see how different I look now compared to then.
Anyways, I think that’s enough self-praise (for lack of a better term) for one evening! I shall have to stare at myself in the mirror tomorrow morning instead…(don’t worry, I don’t really!).
El Pookiablo will return next time, in the next exciting episode of “The Adventures of El Pookiablo”.
- A healthier looking me, perhaps trying too hard…
- My most hated picture ever!
- Look at those twigs for legs!
- Weight training goes a long way!
